At VivaTech 2026, Marc-Lionel Gatto sat down with Olivier Beaujean at the Belgium stand to talk about what Novable does, how it works, and what brought the team to Paris this year.

Bridging the gap between large corporations and startups

When asked to describe Novable in simple terms, Olivier was direct:

"I help large companies and specifically their innovation departments meet innovative teams, typically startups. I create the link between these big companies and smaller ones, to help the big ones innovate."

The model is straightforward, the execution is anything but simple. Novable's clients are typically innovation managers inside large groups like Orange, who come with a specific challenge: they want to innovate in a particular sector and need help finding the right partners, fast and with confidence.

"I help them save an enormous amount of time and make sure they really find the hidden gems."

Tailored, global, and results-guaranteed

One of the things that sets Novable apart is how adaptive the service is. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, the team works around what each client actually needs, whether that's scouting early-stage startups or more established scaleups.

And the scope is genuinely global:

"Everything is worldwide, in every language imaginable. We get requests pointing toward China, Asia, the United States. Some scouting requests are very specific, sometimes very complex. The goal is really to meet our client's satisfaction and to be able to guarantee results."

What brought Novable to VivaTech

For Olivier, VivaTech is about more than lead generation. It's a moment to strengthen existing relationships, meet prospects face to face, and explore new directions:

"My first objective here is clearly to reinforce the relationships we already have with our clients. We love meeting clients at events, seeing them in person. Of course, finding new leads too, meeting my target, the innovation managers.”

Beyond clients, VivaTech also opened doors to partnership conversations and even future talents:

"I also spoke with a lot of potential future interns, which is always very interesting."
